NWSL’s Drippiest Players for the 2022 Season

The Wavy Footy boys are back with another list of Drippiest players, this time they’re showing some love to the NWSL.

For the start of the MLS season, we shouted out some of the waviest ballers in the league and their pre-game fits, so for the NWSL we’re here to do the same. With the NWSL Challenge Cup wrapped up and the new Regular Season just a couple weeks in, this has us hyped for what more fits are to come and which players will show out the most. Take a look at eight of the players we have our eyes out for who killed it last year, in the Challenge Cup and start of this season thus far, and who we know won’t disappoint for the rest of it.

Mandy Freeman: NJ/NY Gotham

Mandy has one of the most unpredictable styles in the game and it’s evident as ever from these flicks. Always threaded with creative prints, popping colors, different materials and overall vibes, she keeps people guessing what she’ll be dropping next. Nothing is out of bounds for her. With Gotham as the self described “Vibes FC”, Mandy is right where she belongs on their red carpet.

Estelle Johnson: NJ/NY Gotham

Similar to her teammate Mandy, Estelle fits right into the squad. From top to bottom she makes sure her fit is certifiably wavy and won’t miss a bit on any of the pieces. Pants game stays top tier as she always finds the perfect pair to go with the fit and pull it all together. You’ll always catch the Cameroonian stepping full of flair and her own unique style.

Sarah Gorden: Angel City FC

The undisputed Queen of Streetwear itself in the NWSL and keeps the fits coming outside of the pre-game walk ups. Sneaker closet looking like a store in Soho with the variety she has, and is always pairing unique pieces together in her own way. The Chi-Town girl moved to new NWSL side Angel City FC and fits perfectly in a fashion hub like LA, and constantly has her own unique We’re wishing her a speedy recovery as she’s still getting back from a knee injury, but at the very least we’ll still see get the pre-game fits.

Darian Jenkins – Orlando Pride

You’ll always catch Darian sporting something comfortable and flowy for the Florida sun. Moving from KC to Orlando she keeps it cool in the Sunshine State and stays with a wavy pair of sunglasses just for that. Meanwhile she mixes casual and more formal pieces together at times to give her fits the versatility of being dressed up or dressed down. This striker is scoring on and off the field, and you can expect more heat from on the green runway.

Makamae Gomera-Stevens: Houston Dash

Catch Makamae throwing up the H as she keeps it cool in Houston’s heat. The midfielder’s matching is always 10/10 whether it’s subtle or direct, and despite the different colors or prints. Best believe she keeps it cozy with fits that are just as comfortable as they are fly. The Hawaiian baller simply never disappoints.

Tziarra King – OL Reign

Tziarra loves vibrant patterns and colors and is always popping out with the pre-game walk ups. She keeps it creative with as wide a variety as it gets in materials, and everytime she dons a jacket you know it’s about to go crazy. Whether it’s kicks or heels she hits the mark for both casual and formal fits and isn’t afraid to make a statement figuratively or literally. The 2nd year player is poised to become an NWSL style icon for years to come.

Ally Watt: OL Reign

Another OL player here as they’re stamped as one of the best dressed teams in the league. Ally is the Queen of the Two-Piece outfits and what’s here is just a few. Whether it’s stylish athleisure in her Nike/Jordan sponsored gear or a more elevated pant suit, she’s always hitting the mark. She might be from Colorado but nothing is rocky about her pre-game fits choices.

Diana Ordoñez: North Carolina Courage

Rookie of the Year on and off the pitch right here with our girl D. Our Wavy Woman Wednesday interviewee is super into streetwear and sneaker culture as you can see right here, and walked straight into the MLS/NWSL Fits of the Week. Whether it’s a statement piece from shorts, a shirt, pants or the kicks, this striker is hitting the target. Regardless of the weather best believe she’s got drip on the forecast, and this first year baller is just getting started.

You can catch us weekly with our MLS/NWSL Fits of the Week for constant coverage of the waviest pre-game fits in the leagues, and let us know who else should be on this list.
