Adidas Parley Boot sitting on Rocks at the beach

adidas Football x Parley Pack boot is the first to repurpose ocean plastic

The innovative design brings footballers another step closer to reducing pollution and saving our oceans.

A partnership that began in 2015 and has progressed sustainability efforts within the football community, does it again. Using Parley Ocean Plastic, adidas adds a very different boot to their collection of diverse footwear. Rather than allowing plastic waste to crowd coastlines and threaten marine life, the debris is collected and reconstructed into wearable brilliant designs.

The campaign announcement featuring Barcelona stars, Mapi Leon and Pedri, unveiled 3 famous silhouettes: Predator Accuracy, X Speedportal and Copa Pure. The boots are mainly white with “Lucid Blue” accents throughout highlighting the clean construction and mimicking a wave-like motion. The catalog of images showcasing the boot pack displays a serene beach backdrop and puts the trio in the perfect spotlight. Parley for the Oceans and adidas were intentional – it looks like the ocean and it saves them too.

By 2024, the globally recognized brand has committed to using recycled polyester wherever possible on all products. The yarn included in the boot’s upper contains at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and the other 50% recycled polyester. Firm ground and turf options are available in each style. As the conversation around saving the planet expands, so does the adidas and Parley collection. Consumers can purchase the boots for $260 at adidas.com.
