MIAMI, FL – The 2Cents Cultureverse is expanding, today announcing the addition of the Dreaming Of Freedom podcast to the network.
Dreaming of Freedom is a discussion about the intersection of soccer, politics, history, and social justice. Each episode dives into current and historical events that shape the game and the structures that surround it.
The first episode is out now featuring members of Atlanta’s Footie Mob supporter’s group. Stay tuned for awesome interviews and collaborations that will take the discussion to the next level.
“What Jermaine and team are building with Black Herons down in Miami, and the work that they are doing to bring the area’s Black community closer to the game is what really drew me to them,” says 2Cents FC co-founder EL Johnson. “Once they launched Dreaming Of Freedom, I knew that this was an area that we could tangibly support their mission, and it aligned perfectly with ours, which was to grow the game of soccer in the African-American community through cultural relevance and storytelling.”
“We wanted to join 2Cents because we love the infrastructure it provides, and the community that it’s creating”, says Jermaine Scott, co-host of Dreaming of Freedom. “2Cents is a space that Black Herons can contribute to and learn from, and we’re excited to keep building.”
