Coming Up In The Bay Area Grassroots Soccer Scene
Kevin shared a lot of his background with us, like coming from a soccer family and the challenges they faced in the youth system as undocumented residents. Kevin also shared how playing in the Bay Area’s grassroots leagues honed his skill as a goalkeeper.
Putting Down Roots
As one of the original members of a brand new Oakland Roots team, Kevin talks about the pride he had representing for his area code on the pitch. He also expresses why the Bay Area doesn’t need more MLS and how the grassroots scene has a much stronger connection with the people in the area.
From The Bay To CHA
We also get into Kev’s transition from the Bay Area to Charlotte, North Carolina to play for Stumptown AC. He shares with us some of the lessons Coach Rod Underwood has instilled into the squad and some of the things he likes and dislikes about living in the South.
